The staff was caring, the breakfast was good, everything was amazing. The room was well priced and great value, had essentials, like shower facilities, a hairdryer and bath sheets. The hotel had a central setting right in the old center. Moreover, it's just off restaurants and the best attractions.

An outstanding hotel, delivering far more than we had ever expected. Staff of this hotel truly deserve a special mention (and perhaps a standing ovation) - always friendly, smiling, ready to help. A few words about the basics. Clean, new and air-conditioned rooms with separate small living room and bedroom. TV, free WI-FI and a laptop in the room. Bathroom has all the basics like toothbrushes, razors and of course the shower necessities like soap, etc. Girlfriend was especially happy with the hair dryer. Breakfast in the morning is included and you can choose from a varied menu of tasty meals. In addition free coffee, tea and jucies with fruit and sweets are available at a small side-buffet. Location is great too, right in the old quarters of Hanoi which most guide books consider a must-see and within 10 minute walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake. They have helped arrange two great trips for us to Perfume Pagoda and Sapa. They have also booked a ticket for us to Hue, when we were leaving Hanoi (at no extra charge - we only paid the actual train ticket cost). For all trips they have taken a cab with us and escorted us all the way to our train cabin to ensure we were spared the hassle. This was the first hotel we've stayed at on our 3 week trip to Vietnam and it's set a high bar for the rest to follow. This is hands down the best customer experience I've had with hotels, not only in Vietnam, but ever. Thanks again to every single hotel employee for going out of their way to make our first impression of Vietnam such a positive one. Two thumbs up and maybe throw in two big toes in there too!
There were no major negatives that would warrant being mentioned.

Some of the staff are very friendly (except the male hotel manager who discriminates asian people) and helpful. Facilities like wi-fi are available. Rooms are spacious. Location is good especially if you want to see the typical daily market life of the Vietnamese.
The hotel is charging a certain % (surcharge ?) for credit card payment. This should be included in the hotel description.

the hotel's location is fantastic, surrounded by coffee shops, attractions, and popular eateries that locals and tourists love. I had a lovely brunch at the Atlas, which is conveniently located nearby. 3. I requested a deluxe queen room with three beds and a balcony, and I had a great stay at the hotel.

The Rising Dragon iii is very centrally located in Hanoi, it was an easy walk to the lakes, restaurants, and shops. The rooms were spacious, we very comfortably fit 3 to a room, and the room also had kitchen facilities. The staff, and in particular the manager, went out of their way to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Given the quality of the service and the rooms the hotel was extremely good value for money.

We really liked this hotel! The feeling was right from the beginning. We had a price-worthy suite with balcony, and we enjoyed every minute there. The staff was very helpful. This hotel is a good staring-point for your Vietnam journey, we paid a deposit on PayPal and then our train tickets was waiting for us when we arrived. Good location in the outskirts of the Old City of Hanoi.

The staff at the Rising Dragon iii Hotel were the most accommodating, extremely helpful & friendly. They did their best to ensure we had an enjoyable time while staying there. Their recommendations & help in finding places/restaurants were very useful. The premises & rooms were clean & comfortable. They made us feel very welcome!
The location was not the best, but this is Vietnam & cannot be avoided in the city. There were no Garden Views as stated on the Bookings site & I don't see how that could even be possible now given the location. People wake very early in Vietnam (5am) so it was sometimes noisy early in the morning. Rooms although nicely decorated could use some practical adjustments ie: proper curtains or blinds to block out sunlight streaming into the room very early in the morning (which made sleeping in difficult). At least 1 proper full length mirror for guest in the room for dressing. Showers with a proper adjustable height for taller people to be able to use properly Rooms with kitchenettes like we had, should have a couple utensils other than glasses/teacups otherwise it's useless to book.....to name a few. Finally, Meals at the hotel need to be improved greatly, breakfast was limited but fine, but nothing else, better to go out & eat a nice meal for the same price.

All staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially Mr Son the Manager. Our room was excellent, beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with laptop provided & free wi fi. The hotel was in a fantastic location in the historic old quarter, walking distance to heaps of attractions and great shopping. The staff at Rising Dragon were beyond amazing! They made us feel like welcome friends, were helpful, sweet and very efficient. The costs were very reasonable and the tours they assisted with were of a very high standard at good cost. Their personal care made our whole visit to Hanoi wonderful! My young daughter cried the morning we left because she didn't want to leave her friends at the hotel - Thankyou Mr Son and staff!!
